In the following movies I had a little roll as a supernumerary.
Buffalo Soldiers (dt. “Army Go Home”) [Odeon Pictures]
Production for Cinema with Joaquin Phoenix, Ed Harris, Anna Paquin and others
recordings: late 2000
The movie is about a U.S. Army soldier who is stationed in Germany in the late 1980s. He spends his free time by dealing with drugs and weapons. Unfortunately, the movie came into theaters shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11 and it was rejected by the majority of people because it drew an uneasy picture of the United States Armed Forces. That’s why it became a flop. Nevertheless it is a movie really worth watching. It is even rather cheap because its general sales situation. You can for example get it from Amazon.de for only a few Euros.
Das Kommando [Maran Film]
Production for German Television (ARD) with Robert Atzorn, Iris Berben and others
recordings: spring 2004
This movie is about a fictuous scenario for German army soldiers. They are to be trained and actually used for a preventive strike (aka. “killer commando”). The movie was aired first in January 2005 and it was a real “big” role for me; I was visible in the end product for about 20 seconds.;-)
